The ESG Dimension – An Integrated Approach to Sustainability

In accordance with international standards on sustainable governance (ESG – Environmental, Social, Governance), the technology patented in Romania, the United States of America, and Canada meets all the essential criteria to be classified as a green technology of strategic interest.

The “E” Component – Environmental (Environment)

The patented process completely eliminates the use of cyanide, thereby reducing soil, water, and air pollution to zero. By using water in a closed-loop system within the technological process, at a rate of over 90%, a zero carbon footprint is achieved, in line with the European Green Deal. At the same time, the process’s ability to preserve metals and rare earth elements for recovery contributes directly to the objectives of the circular economy and to the European Union’s strategic autonomy in the field of critical raw materials.

The “S” Component – Social (Society and Community)

The implementation of mobile mini-plants creates local jobs, reduces labour migration, and offers new economic prospects to mining communities in decline. By eliminating toxic risks, the health of workers and the general population is fully protected. In addition, the project enables the direct participation of local authorities and private investors, stimulating balanced and inclusive regional development. In this way, the technology becomes a social catalyst for green reindustrialisation on a global scale.

The “G” Component – Governance (Governance and Ethics)

The patented process is fully traceable and auditable, ensuring complete operational transparency. The technological system allows for digital monitoring, periodic reporting, and compliance with European legislation in the fields of the environment, labour and investment. By applying ESG principles, the following are guaranteed:

  • transparency in public–private partnerships

  • compliance with international legislation

  • ethical use of natural resources

  • equitable benefit for all parties involved (the state, investors, communities and international partners)

Through its full integration into ESG principles, the patented technology is not merely an industrial innovation, but a model of ethical and sustainable development, demonstrating that economic progress and environmental protection can coexist harmoniously. This approach positions Romania as a potential European and global pioneer of responsible mining, offering the world a solution that brings together science, economics and respect for life.
